Test Models

Design you can see…and touch

These models embody form and function and have a variety of major advantages. Aside from allowing field and focus group testing, these models provide a production-ready look and feel at a fraction of the cost and time of a production level solution. They are useful for making sure you’re ready to advance to the next stage of a product’s development and for making sure your first customer (investors/corp. management) and the press want to come along for the ride.

Proof of Concept

The forms that prove the function

While not sexy, these models are critical for examining a concept’s functionality. Valuable for risk mitigation and for ensuring certification and standardization, POC models are for validating how something will work continuously and dependably to meet the customer’s needs.

Form Studies

From “Mild to Wild”

The additive and subtractive nature of the clay modeling process means that we can handle even the most complex modeling. Our approach of examining all possible options to find the best solutions, means that the final product will not only function as designed, its object language will be loud and clear: strong products will have muscle, elegant products will have poise.

Ergonomic Studies

…to form a more perfect union

We use various materials such as clay, foam or Stereo Lithography (SLA) to study how form will facilitate function. Heights, distances, ethnographic and gender variations are all tested and incorporated into each design iteration. Whether you hold the product or the product holds you, ROBRADY has the capability and the expertise to discover real-life nuances and make on-the-go adjustments.

One Stop vs. One Size Fits All

Putting the “custom” in customer

The client is an integral part of ROBRADY’s formula for successful program management. Understanding client needs, vision, resources and goals allows us to create a tailored and comprehensive partnership whether the client is a start-up or a Fortune 500 multi-national. Our belief is that ROBRADY doesn’t work with companies – we work with people. Our proven, yet organic process is as unique as each individual client. The only thing that doesn’t change is the quality of the result.

Communication

Access leads to success

While project managers are the primary client liaisons, ROBRADY maintains an open door policy, welcoming client participation at every project stage. Whether through face-to-face meetings, email, GoToMeetings or Skype, constant feedback not only ensures that tasks are on target but allows for quick and nimble responses as projects evolve. Through weekly meetings, phase gates and the PRD, all stakeholders are kept, quite literally, on the same page.

Quality Control

Quality in the process and the product

ROBRADY espouses the KAIZEN philosophy of continuous improvement. As a result, quality control isn’t just something that happens at the end of a project, but is constantly monitored in each group throughout a project.

Risk Mitigation

Marking the path and the pitfalls

Following a formal kick-off, the project manager creates and oversees the budget and scheduling including phase gates where client sign-off is required before the project proceeds further. During this stage we plan what will work and we consider what won’t. By anticipating potential problems and setbacks, we can manage them and the loss of valuable time and resources.

Merchandising Support

Our development process doesn’t stop at our doors, but continues through the implementation and display of your brand to make sure it’s at home in a changing retail environment. Endcaps, pop-ups and brand guidelines ensure a consistent, attention-grabbing presentation of your brand.

Product Naming

Let’s be clear, Shakespeare’s timeless tale of two star-crossed lovers would not have lasted if it had been called Romeo and Gertrude. And in the modern world, the right name is more critical than ever. Our team tests your brand moniker to make sure it rolls off the tongue and sticks in the brain, is trademark-eligible and easily found (and spread) across the web through search engine optimization.
