Studio Team Additions 01/2014 | ROBRADY design

Sarasota, FL January 13, 2014

ROBRADY staff additions fuel company growth and expansion in the medical, consumer and alternative energy markets.

ROBRADY proudly welcomes Jonathan Jones and Eric Chartier to the studio. As a senior mechanical engineer, Jones will oversee product development on multiple projects, serving as a single point of contact for stakeholders and insuring each product exceeds customer expectations. Chartier joins the engineering staff as a mechanical designer and will work on the mechanical design and engineering aspects of various programs.

Jonathan Jones brings nine years of mechanical engineering and system integration expertise from the automotive field. After graduation, he began producing designs for high velocity throughput manufacturing and in time was managing the production of ambulances for the FDNY. Following this, he managed the ME team at the world’s largest fire truck manufacturer. Jones is a proponent of Lean manufacturing and incorporates this practice into every decision and design he makes. On his new post at the studio, Jones says, “It’s every engineer’s dream to produce innovative designs and creative solutions to various situations. ROBRADY’s portfolio speaks for itself and its variety of products will allow me to expand my engineering skills by leaps and bounds.”

Eric Chartier graduated from Sarasota’s Keiser University in 2004 with a CAD degree and served as drafting supervisor and product developer in Bradenton for six years. Most recently, Chartier worked as a mechanical designer and has the unique distinction of being the studio’s first legacy hire. His father Joel has been with ROBRADY since the company began in 1990. “I’ve literally grown up with ROBRADY,” says Chartier. “Now, as a member of the team, I have a chance to learn from and work around the best in the business.”
