Three years after the Segway® Human Transporter (HT) changed the landscape of personal transportation, the company is offering first glance at their gyro-stabilized one- or two-person four-wheel device.
In anticipation of the Popular Science coverage, Segway s Next Thingamajig, Segway LLC engaged ROBRADY design to produce an illustration of their Concept Centaur designed and developed by Segway s product development team.
Weighing in at 150 pounds, the lightweight prototype is faster than its two-wheeled predecessor (should it become a consumer product) and can effortlessly transition between two- and four-wheel drive, as Popular Science writer Jenny Everett discovered on her test ride.
