<BODY> Long before most of us began making our Christmas lists, the ROBRADY design team was in the throngs of holiday frenzy in efforts to meet a deadline that honors a venerable tradition. Building on their relationship with Xtools, LLC, ROBRADY design was anticipating the competitive Christmas rush in March. When there were no less than 300 shopping days left till Christmas Day o4, the ROBRADY team was designing XTOOLS® prototypes for May presentations at recreation-market catalog houses across the country. This specific task required ROBRADY to utilize its expertise in integrating industrial, mechanical, and graphic design; rapid prototyping; and production program management to go from conceptual development to prototype fabrication all within the March-to-May development time frame. Vying for placement in outdoor-lifestyle Christmas catalogs such as Cabela s®, Bass Pro Shops®, and Melton International Tackle the trio boasts a combined worldwide distribution of nearly 11 million is serious business for XTOOLS, a leader in the international fishing accessories market. To facilitate their client s objective, ROBRADY outfitted Larry Rosenberry, VP of Marketing and Sales for XTOOLS, with realistic-looking prototypes to secure coveted space in targeted seasonal catalogs. To further address their client s expanding distribution market and 2005 product line, ROBRADY began work on 20 show-quality products and product combinations for display at mid-July s International Convention of Allied Sportfishing Trades (ICAST) convention. ROBRADY then tackled in-studio assembly of several prototypes of each product even incorporating details such as blister packs, UPC codes, and trilingual text to deliver impact on the ICAST show floor. As on numerous occasions since the synergistic relationship began in 2001, ROBRADY chose to personally support the promotional and marketing efforts of the XTOOLS team this time by offering studio staff as technical resources to industry reps, distributors, and buyers attending the show, held this year in Las Vegas. Meanwhile, production-ready databases were completed as manufacturing activities were assigned and monitored by ROBRADY project manager Dale Walker, whose considerable international travel fulfilled the studio s commitment to total product development. According to Dickie Herbst, Executive VP of XTOOLS, confidence in ROBRADY design translates to delivery and ownership of innovative product-to-market solutions: ROBRADY design consistently makes me look good. They really want XTOOLS to succeed.
